Life is for living and when you’ve got a little one, there’s a new adventure around every corner. That’s where our Armadillo pushchair comes in. The Armadillo’s design makes everyday trips easy, convenient and fun, without impacting on baby’s comfort. Don’t believe us? Read Harley Challeners Armadillo Stroller Review below!

I was very excited to be given this opportunity to review the Mamas & Papas Armadillo. The “all in one stroller” as Freddie’s just turned 8 months old (how?!) and is no longer light enough to transport in his car seat for convenience. I was looking for a light stroller to use for school runs that would also provide comfort for everyday use. There were a few things that drew me to the Armadillo. It was mainly practical features but of course the appearance also contributed. The stroller comes in a few colours and styles. I went for the Black Geo as I loved the simplicity of the all black frame and the subtle print on the hood.

The Armadillo arrived pretty much assembled in the box. It only needed the wheels putting on which got it its first thumbs up. The Armadillo also came with a rain cover and cup holder *bonus* – you know us parents need an extra hand.

The first thing that `wow’ed me was the huge seat and it’s recline positions. One being lie back which with the adjustable footrest, makes it suitable from birth to 15kg. I could tell just by looking at the seat that it was going to be a) super comfy thanks to the space and soft padding. And b) easy to clean being a neoprene like, wipeable fabric. The second great feature to stand out is the super large UPF 50+ hood which extends fully over the seat. This provides perfect shelter on sunny days. It is also a cosy, dark place for naps away from any distractions for babies/toddlers like mine who get serious FOMO when out and about.

Freddie is becoming more and more inquisitive of his surroundings. Especially when on walks, so turning him to world facing for his first Armadillo ride wasn’t as daunting as I thought. He was more than happy (I kept checking through the peekaboo window on the hood!) He was super comfy being supported by the padded 5 point harness.

Unlike the standard type of stroller I had with my first born, the Armadillo is super sturdy yet really light and is a dream to push/steer. We’ve done both country walks and city trips, managing both terrains with ease. Of course, we all know children come with a lot of baggage. Again, this stroller doesn’t disappoint with its large basket. It does look a little deceiving when the seat is in its fixed position, but he stretchy sides do make it capable for plenty of shopping/spare clothes/them all important snacks.

The icing on the cake of the Armadillo, is the amazing one hand fold which I honestly cannot rave about enough. Even my husband can do the one hand fold! Along with the light, compact size once folded. There’s no stress when trying to juggle the baby in one arm and stroller in the other. I’ve had many pushchairs over the past 5 years where you have to remove the seat, then fold which takes up time, space and patience. You can’t really ask for more with the Armadillo.

Mamas and Papas also have a number of compatible footmuffs for colder weather, or the all seasons ones depending on what time of year or locations you are using the stroller in. I went for the black cold weather footmuff as it’s still quite cold out. The thick fleece liner is perfect especially as it is water/dirt/wind resistant. Once the weather does warm up it can be unzipped and simply used as pram liner.

10/10 for creating a simple, efficient, all round awesome stroller Mamas and Papas! x
