You end up designing your nursery a few times. Once before baby arrives, and then again as they reach six months and then again when they finally become a toddler. Each time you add pieces that make everything more comfortable, cosy and convenient for your child. Thankfully, we’ve got everything you could need. Don’t believe us? Hello, Mirlah here again, and I’m back with another review for the Mamas & Papas Parent Approved Panel.

This time it’s all about bedtime – something that the guys at M&P have totally got you covered for. From furniture collections to gorgeous bedding and soft furnishings, Mamas & Papas is the place to go for all things nursery.

The Lawson Cot Bed

We were kindly sent a Lawson cotbed to complete our nursery furniture. We already have the wardrobe and dresser/changer and now the cot is up, the nursery really feels complete.

I absolutely love the Lawson collection. Its simple Scandi vibe is right up our street and I feel the style will last for many years to come. Not only does it looks great in Ellis’ nursery; this furniture will adapt as he grows into a toddler and beyond.

The cotbed was super easy to put together. There weren’t any fallings out between me and my husband – so that’s got to count for something!

The cot feels so sturdy; you can tell it’s a quality product and built to last. When the time comes, we’ll be able to take the sides off the cot and, using a few other fixings, we can turn it into a toddler bed.

Bedding & Bits ‘n Bobs

This is something I think Mamas & Papas do so well.

Firstly, there are so many collections to choose from. From the more classic collections to contemporary ones, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.

Secondly, Mamas & Papas have got everything covered, so you can get everything in one place. The bedding bundles make it super easy to get everything you need and not only that; it all coordinates, which is just adorable.

We chose some bits from the Big Top Tales Collection.

This range was perfect for us. It’s fun, colourful and has a playful circus theme that works really well in Ellis’ nursery with the bright colours.

The fitted sheets wash really well and come in a coordinating two pack – it’s always handy to have more than one. As well as the lovely patterned ranges, Mamas & Papas also have basic colours, which are great to have as back up.

The cot bumper has been a godsend for us personally as it cushions Ellis’ head – he has a habit of banging it! Of course this is our choice, you don’t have to use them, Ellis is 9 months old now and we feel comfortable using it. It really is your own preference.

The Big Top Tales 1.5 Tog Coverlet is just beautiful. The quality is amazing and feels almost handmade. It really adds the finishing touch to the cot bed.

The soft fleece blanket is possibly the cosiest thing ever! I love the star print and it’s a great size, which makes it ideal for at home and out and about.

A One-Stop Shop

From mobiles, to rugs and matching lampshades, the team at Mamas & Papas have thought about everything, it really is a one-stop shop for all your nursery needs.

I’d fully recommend a trip to a local store if you can, as you can see things in the flesh and feel how well made everything is before purchasing.

In fact, I would 100% recommend booking a personal shopping experience. These are free of charge and you get to have a one-on-one experience with an in-store expert. They’ll guide you through everything you need to know and you even get a free gift. We had one whilst I was pregnant with Ellis, which was great for choosing furniture and trying out pushchairs too.

Sleep Tight

Furniture up, room decorated and bed made, all that is left is to do is get your little one ready for sleep time. Mamas & Papas have a wide range of vests and sleepsuits to make bedtime nice and cosy. They usually come in coordinating packs with gorgeous patterns and they wash really well and are made from super soft cotton.

If like Ellis your baby kicks off blankets, they also have a range of sleeping bags, which are great for keeping them snuggled at night. The embroidery on the Big Top Tales Collection is stunning.

Whilst I can’t say the new additions to the nursery have magically made Ellis sleep through the night (I’m still holding out for a miracle) they sure have made his bedtime cosy, comfortable and super stylish.

Thanks so much again Mamas & Papas, Ellis loves his nursery and it’s my favourite room in the house.

We’re so glad we could help Mirlah add some new pieces to Ellis’ nursery to help bring out some more style, as well as ensure he could have a cosy, comfortable sleep night after night.
